  • Only two Monuments despite having a solid support team . Hardly stuff of legend ! Good for him , he can ride flat and hilly stages so he can enough score intermediate points to win the green jersey at the Tour - it papers over the cracks of a poor monument record win wise But Major One Day wins (monuments) matter. Don’t be fooled by the lottery of the END OF SEASON that is the World Championship race The reason why many major one day racers don’t win the world is because they put it all out in March April for the majors

  • Too bad the people who made this video don't really understand echelons in cycling themselves. The wind has to come from diagonally behind to have a good echelon. Hence the high speeds.

Ginkgo bilobaGinkgo bilobaIl y a mois
    • @RIFIANBOY okay in that case, but they got it wrong as well. It is very important for the wind to come from cross behind. When the peloton goes passed the wind speed in their own speed, the wind will start to feel as a headwind. Because they have such a high speed at that point riders run into all kinds of difficulties being: having way higher resistance from the road and running out of gears. At headwind the speeds are too low to make big gaps and the initial drafting is too big to break the peloton.

Ginkgo bilobaGinkgo bilobaIl y a mois
    • in GCN’s echelon video, they explained it exactly as I did here.
