    • Well your MTB isn't made to speed and larger tyres doesn't exactly mean more grip .. in other hands those bikes are designed for speed and cornering ...it's like comparing a off road car with a F1 to be precisely

  • Fuck! It’s amazing what these guys can do with state of the art technologies on the bleeding edge of what’s possible, they’re at the peak of what’s humanly possible, only time will tell what else they can squeeze out of current tech. It would be nice if they showed the speed of the riders, it really gets lost in context how fast they’re flying down those mountain passes.

    • @BANDERAZZ07RUS That's total bs. In short: they're skinny for aerodynamics, they're not as grippy as they could be for reduced rolling resistance, and the bikes are light af which makes recovering from a slip unlikely. What you said applies to many motorcycle tires but not to bicycles.

      MikeMikeIl y a 3 mois
    • @BANDERAZZ07RUS top tier racing tyres such Schwalbe One?

      ZOTICZOTICIl y a 5 mois
    • to be honest - they designed specially to be very grippy, and handle extreme angles, and EVEN relive the SLIP, and return to be grippy again

  • Lets just take a moment to notice that he is doing that speed with a vehicle whose frame made of tubing, and whose tires are probably 1-2cm wide, and the brake is almost non-existent at that speed.....

    Long LeeLong LeeIl y a 8 mois
    • @TEYRIS01yeah at that speed even a little peeble could potentially make you crash

      facebookfacebookIl y a mois
    • If the road is not wet brake are really powerfull. Even at 100+km/h that is not a problem. The problem on a road bike is that there is almost no shock absorber, only the tires with a few millimeters. So every little bump make you jump. To go at 100km/h+ the road must be really good and slick.

      TEYRIS01TEYRIS01Il y a 4 mois
    • i bet hes using 26-28. Im using 25 and i got no problems with brakes or turns. Ofc you have to break early with speed like this. The dude use team radio too, so he probably know how fast can he go before next breaking point.

Phil Gilbert, and Samuel Sanchez, Laurent Jalabert in their peak performance also up with the best.. :) and I remember a Tour stage were O grady, hincape and hushovd made the bridge from being in the peloton, towards the leading group in a mountain stage.. and I think they closed over 2 minutes in a descent and valley, no helmets on.
